As I mentioned, I'm a big fan of cafes. Big Apple Bagels is not known to many people in Illinois, but this nice quaint cafe can be found in Michigan. They have a bigger assortment of bagel sandwiches than a Panera Bread, but you have to take into consideration of all cafes. This particular cafe focuses on bagel sandwiches. You have the selection of breakfast bagel sandwiches to quick lunch bagel sandwiches. This cafe closes around 5ish, so that doesn't give you the option of being able to a bagel sandwich in the evening hours. It was very convenient for me when I was in College to go here to get a healthy and quick meal on the go. I always chose the "Combo Meals". You get your bagel sandwich, pickle, bagel chips, and a drink. To create your bagel sandwich, you have an assortment of 15 or more bagels to choose from. Then, if you want a simple bagel with cream cheese, you have 10 different cream cheese to choose from. Yes, I said BAGEL CHIPS. They are delish. It's simply a bagel sliced very thinly and seasoned then baked. I don't know what they do to them, but they are addicting. The only downfall with the bagel chips is that you can't just go in and get them...they only come with the meal. Their coffee selection is somewhat like a Dunkin Donuts but not as complicated (yes, I think Dunkin Donuts has a complicated coffee menu) Their service was good as well. They workers who are committed to their jobs so you can instantly tell that they care about what they do for such young gals (this is hard to come around anywhere). This particular location is located on a busy street and near many businesses so they tend to become busier than normal. This never stopped me from still stopping in as they are quick to try to get you in-and-out, not shove you out, but they know everyone is cramped on time, so they try their best to meet your needs.

Decent food/ drink selection. However I find that everything is a bit overpriced. The quality isn't really spectacular, but the staff is nice and fairly quick. It's a good quick stop for when I'm dying for something of substance to eat on my way home or to work. But if I had to choose between here and Bruegger's on Grand River, I'd choose the latter . But the parking nightmare that is Grand River is a whole other story.

Good, solid selection of different items, from bagels concoctions to muffins to sandwiches. My personal favorite is the Asiago bagel with cream cheese. The location is good if you have some kind of transportation and are a student, as it's away from campus. But it's a different kind of bagel place that is worth a shot.

A great quick breakfast find for the morning work commute. They host a huge selection of different bagel blends and cream cheese flavors at very favorable prices. With a complete lack of Einstein's in the area, this is the only local bagelry that has yet to satisfy my lust. My go-to tends to be the Swiss Melt bagel, which is always heated perfectly! The wait is fast and the staff is usually cheery and very good at quick chats with waiting customers. Big Apple also serves fun and decadent muffin options. I tend to stay away from sweet things in the morning, but they have mini bite-size versions of the regular size muffins for super inexpensive that are perfect for a mid-afternoon craving.

Moist, chewy bagels. Tried the Mediterranean on an everything bagel and the Southern on an Asiago bagel. Both were tasty and filling. There are mounds of flavored cream cheese in the cooler and an assortment of fresh bagels to choose from. We did not try the java. Fast and friendly service.

My friends and I just left Big Apples Bagels in East Lansing and the service we received was phenomenal. Great bagels, great smoothies and great people working there. Keep up the outstanding work guys!

Easy place to stop in and get breakfast en route to campus from the north or even if you wanna study here. It's pretty clean, but not that big. I love all the different bagel flavors and cosi or panera can't hold a candle to the bagels here. Both in flavor, variety, and texture (I prefer a softer bagel... I don't really want it to hurt when I eat it...). I'm used to BAB since they have them in my hometown as well so it was nice to have one near campus when I moved to EL. The staff are usually ok and they have quick to go coffee with a jar to throw your money in. The manager must not be half bad either, since they were constantly donating tons of bagels to MSU triathlon events and other large races or events that needed sponsors or donations.

I love this place! Great bagels and great cream cheese options. Good lunch sandwiches. Decent coffee. A few my favorite choices: Salt bagel with veggie cream cheese Swiss Melt bagel with cheddar bacon cream cheese I feel like I should pause for effect before mentioning the muffins................okay, the muffins are little crack bombs. They have like cheesecake, double chocolate & a host of other ridiculously good & sinful choices.Good recovery food for a post-drinking morning. They only knock i have on this place is that the service is ALWAYS slow. But I guess I can look the other way for the good food...

Big Apple Bagels usually provides a pretty perfect start to my day. I'm somewhat picky about my bagels, and have no complaints. I usually order mine with butter, but they have a pretty large selection of cream cheeses.

Friendly neighbourhood joint, although it's a chain. The bagels are fresh, big, and come in a huge variety with several cream cheeses to choose from or you can alternately have a bagel sandwich for breakfast or lunch. They also have a variety of muffins, daily specials, and decent prices. It's around the block from my house so I frequently go on bagel runs before work here.
